About Kidney, Transplant & Diabetes Research Australia

Research team - Kidney, Transplant & Diabetes Research Australia.
Our vision is to eliminate chronic kidney disease and diabetes in Australia.

As the fastest growing chronic health problem in this country Diabetes affects 4% of the population or just over 1 million Australians. Chronic kidney disease is also on the rise affecting 1 in 10 Australian’s. But as a silent disease only a few will know they have it.

Kidney, Transplant & Diabetes Research Australia (KTDRA) is proud to support ground-breaking translational medical research that is helping to improve the lives of our family and friends suffering with these diseases. Our aim is simple – it is to reduce and ultimately eliminate the high incidence of these chronic diseases in Australia and around the world.

By supporting vital clinical and laboratory research we are helping to drive better understanding of the diseases as well as take a leading role in the development and delivery of more effective therapies and improved care to patients with kidney disease, diabetes and those requiring organ transplantation.

With your support we can make even bigger strides in the fight against these chronic, life changing and often life limiting diseases and provide better health and wellbeing for all in our community.
